CHURCH OF THE EPIPHANY

The Church of the Epiphany has been an important part of the Upper East/Yorkville neighborhood  for over 80 years.  Originally founded as a mission church in 1833,  Epiphany's first location was on Stanton Street and it moved five times until its first service was held on York & 74th street in 1939.

After selling their property in 2018,   the Church moved  into a new state of the art facility that originally housed the Jan Hus Presbyterian Church. There was a need for more space to stay true to the mission of the church to serve rich and poor alike in the 21st century and now the Church has a fully ADA accessible building with an elevator plus an additional 15,000 square feet of space.

The first floor includes a parish hall, auditorium, large commercial kitchen and pantries. The second floor houses the sanctuary, columbarium and parish offices. The Nave will seat 160 people in movable chairs. All of the beautiful stained glass windows have been restored and installed in the new sanctuary along with 14 new windows specially commissioned for the space. The pulpit lecture and 14th century romanesque baptismal font have been installed in this new building.
